Role Overview
We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated fresh graduates to join our team as Application Support Engineers. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, supporting, and troubleshooting applications in a live production environment.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about technology, eager to learn, and interested in building a career in production support and enterprise application management. You will work closely with engineering, QA, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless application performance and timely resolution of issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor application performance and ensure system availability.
- Identify, report, and track issues proactively with proper documentation.
- Analyze application logs and error messages to troubleshoot issues.
- Perform basic debugging and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents in line with defined SLAs.
- Log and manage tickets in tracking tools, ensuring proper updates and closure.
- Assist in root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues.
- Support application deployment on servers such as Tomcat, GlassFish, or Node.js.
- Validate application functionality post-deployment.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams for issue resolution.
- Communicate issue status clearly with stakeholders and internal teams.
- Maintain documentation of issues, solutions, and troubleshooting guides.
- Prepare handover documents for deployed solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
Technical Skills
- Basic understanding of Core Java.
- Strong grasp of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
- Ability to write simple queries (SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, JOIN).
Systems & Tools
- Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, MS SQL Server, or Oracle.
- Awareness of application servers like Apache Tomcat or GlassFish.
- Basic understanding of application deployment processes.
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands(ls, grep, cd, etc.).
- Comfortable working in a Windows environment.
Core Competencies
- Interest in production support, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Basic understanding of logs and error analysis.
- Ability to understand customer issues and coordinate with development teams.
